Inspired Stamps- DT Thursday

Hello and welcome to the DT Thursday post for Inspired Stamps.  Today we were asked to use any IS alphabet stamp in combination with any other IS that we wanted.  I chose to make this banner for Mother's Day.  I used a 1 inch circle as a mask and stamped small flower images from two Inspired Stamp sets:  Guard your Heart and Card Ministry Basics.  I colored the images with Copic markers.  As I was putting card together I liked the MOM typewriter text uppercase alphabet popped up so I punched a 1 inch circle and stamped "MOM" and then cut a scalloped red circle behind and popped up on flag.  I added red twine a doily and designer paper from a couple of collections.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello Everyone.  Hope you are having a great week.  We have had bits of sun, peeking on us here and there.  The warmer temperatures have been a pleasant change.

Today at Inspired Stamps, we are creating Mother's Day/Love cards.  I thought this design lends itself to both categories.  I used the heart stamp from Card Ministry Basics set and part of the main image from Be Still Silhouettes set.   I love hexagons and I cut a layer with my new hexagon die and stamped the heart in all the open hexagons, I used foam tape to pop this whole piece up from the background.  I added the silhouette image and tied with piece of twine, added a bit of doily.  Could change up the color scheme for a whole different look.  Kary used this stamp last week and she inked all the flowers with different colors for quite a pretty look.  Please be sure to check out the Inspired Stamps blog for the other beautiful creations by our DT and if you are interested in these stamps or the many other Inspired Stamps designs and scripture stamps, please check out the Etsy site.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello, We are "thinking of you" here at Inspired Stamps.  Today the DT was asked to create projects with the theme of "thinking of you".  Inspired Stamps has several sets that could be used so be sure to check out all the DT projects for a lots of inspiration.
I love interactive cards and I love these swing cards, you have seen several versions in my previous postings.  Sometimes the mechanism limits the size of the shape that can be used (here circles) to ensure the card properly opens and closes.  This can pose a problem with using sentiments because many are quite large. Inspired Stamps, however has several stamp sets with sentiments the perfect size.  I used three sets on today's card: Thinking of You, Card Ministry Basics, Thank You Garden Builder sets.

I used three different papers from the BoBunny 6X6 Enchanted Garden paper collection.
I am sorry that it is very difficult for me to take good pictures of these swing cards.  The camera only wants to focus on certain parts at a time.  I took several photos so that you may see the various details of the card.
I stamped the flower image on vellum cardstock and colored the back with Copic markers and cut the image into three separate images and used them throughout the card.
The magic number for today's card seems to be three.  Three interactive circles, three stamps sets , three pieces of floral image , three designer series papers.  Huh, I guess I had a thing for three, they say in design that odd numbers are more pleasing to the eye.  Subconsciously I thought so too.  What do you think?

The small rose bud from main image used with sentiment.

The Card Ministry Basic set even has images that can be used on the back of the card for an added special message to the recipient and allow the designer a place to sign and date.  I have a card ministry within my church and this is a great set to show a bit of encouragement for any occasion.
Thanks for stopping by today and I love to hear from you so please leave a comment.  It is like a "cyber hug".  Remember that Inspired Stamps online store has moved to Etsy and you can click the link to find all the sets I have used and many more.  Every Friday new sets are added to the store.  Check out the Inspired Stamps blog for wonderful ideas on making "caring cards" such as these today and many others.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello and happy Thursday.  I have a new card using the Hymn Girl: Sitting Here Thinking stamp.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I fussy cut it out and then used foam tape to add to a die cut oval that I used distress inks to create a sky background.  I used a piece of brown cardstock embossed with woodgrain embossing folder, a piece of green Bazzill cardstock and a piece of the Madeline collection from BoBunny 6 X 6 paper pad.  The sentiment is from the Card Ministry Basic stamp set.

Please be sure to check out the Inspired Stamps blog for more card ideas using this Hymn Girl line of stamps and be sure to visit the new Etsy shop to purchase these sets and many others.  All US orders of 25.00 or more have free shipping with code 25freeshipping.

Inspired Stamps- Thursday DT Post

Hello it is Thursday.  Where does the week go?  Today the Inspired Stamps DT was asked to create a trio of "thinking of you" cards.  I used the images from Card Ministry Basics and the sentiments from Thinking of You, both of these sets are very versatile and available for purchase in the Inspired Stamps Online Store.
I used a ticket die from Sizzix, Alterations, movers and shapers line and the banner from Spellbinders.  I used an additional mover and shaper label die in the top card for additional dimension.  I  colored the images with Copic markers and fussy cut and adhered to card.  I added glitter to tulips, and pearls to centers of the other two sets flower centers.  I took a 3/4 inch circle punch and "clipped" corners of card base to mimic the ticket.  Thanks for stopping by, please be sure to check out the Inspired Stamps blog for more terrific card sets and next week we will have a sneak peek of a new Inspired Stamps release.

Inspired Stamps- DT Thursday

Hello Everyone, it is Inspired Stamps, Thursday DT post.  This week we were challenged to use the scripture of our choice to make a project.  I have been trying to come up with ways to give a small gesture to those around us to let them know that they are on our minds and in our prayers.  My family loves cinnamon rolls and we had tried the generic to see if they were the same as the name brand:  our conclusion was that they were not exactly the same quality, but they did have a different delivery method for the icing which we liked much better.  The icing is in a bag, that you cut off a tip to apply.  Within the outer tube the icing bag is placed in a smaller cardboard tube with one end capped with a metal lid (I used two metal lids to make this project.)  My husband placed the cardboard tube and lids (once cleaned ) on my craft desk and said "you can probably figure out a project for these".  They sat there for weeks, but then it came to me and here it is.
I made a treat box.  I used a 2 inch piece of paper and stamped Phil 4:13 from Tags set repeatedly.  I inked the strip with distress inks (a purple and broken china).  I made a tag using punches and sentiments from Tag set.  I cut flowers in two purple hues of paper, inked and formed the flower for the lid and the tag.
For the inside:  Who wouldn't like some chocolate treats?  I stamped sentiments from the Card Ministry Basics set and punched with a 1 inch circle punch and adhered to bottom of chocolate pieces.
Here is a view of the treats in the box, with some of the sentiments showing.  Don't you think this would encourage the recipient?  My pastor recently said that when we give someone a gift, it really isn't about the gift, but it is about the love that we are expressing by giving the gift.  That is so true, isn't it.  Isn't great to know that someone was thinking of you?  So it doesn't matter how much the gift costs (here just the cost of the chocolate, everything else was recycled or scraps of paper in my scrap pile :) ).  Hope you enjoyed my project and that it inspires you to do a RAK for someone this week.  You will make their day, if not their whole week.  Ask God to place that special someone on your heart today.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by. Please don't forget to check out what the other DT members made this week by stopping by the Inspired Stamps Blog and check out the stamp sets and many others at the Inspired Stamps Store.   Go and check out some sneak peeks at the March release stamp sets.

Inspired Stamps- Anything But a Card

Hello everyone.  Today the Inspired Stamps DT were asked to make "anything but a card".  I saw this scripture holder at a local store and thought I can make that, so here is my attempt.  I used several Inspired Stamp sets.  I thought this would be a great source of inspiration or perhaps to aid in scripture memory.  Just change the card out each day or each week. I used a white crayon to trace around the image  and then inked with Distress ink, (peeled paint) and wiped off the excess ink with soft cloth to achieve the shadow.
Here are the some of the supplies. Cardboard (recycled), dp, business cards, cardstock, edger die (to cut top shape), grudge board (used for card holder), ribbon, distress ink, Memento ink, Spellbinders and lots of Inspired Stamps.

Here is the finished product with a different scripture card.  I used verses and images from several Inspired Stamp sets: Guard Your Heart, His Word, Card Ministry Basics, His Cross, Trees and Leaves, His Plans For You, Be Still Silhouettes, Bind and Stitch. Below you can see the back.  I covered the cardboard with cardstock for a more finished look.

Scripture cards that can be changed out as you desire.  I think this would make a great gift for a graduate or shut in, or anyone else who you feel might need a bit of encouragement.  I hope you enjoyed my post.  Thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions please let me know.  Please check out the other DT members creations today as well.  Have a great day!

Inspired Stamps-Love

Single bible verse stamp and heart from Card Ministry Basics,
Inspired Stamps.
Hello Everyone!  Happy Thursday.  I hope that everyone is well, we have been battling with the ick here.  Today's card is CAS but I made a frame for my bible verse (which I stamped in gray).  I used the large heart from the Card Ministry Basics set and stamped the hearts in a circle to form a frame.  I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the frame. I then stamped 12 more hearts in the pink ink (Memento) and adhered to frame with pop dots and then added Crystal Effects to the top layer of hearts.  Gray dot pattern paper is DCWV and white strip was cut with scallop border (Fiskars).  I added some shear pink ribbon and three pink rhinestones.  The verse is "And now these three remain faith, hope, and love.  But the greatest of these is love.  I hope you like it and you will be inspired to look at your stamps a little differently and see what you can create.

Inspired Stamps DT Post

Hello everyone!  Happy Thursday!  Today the Inspired Stamps DT was asked to create projects with nature stamps and scripture.  I couldn't decide what to do, so I had taken a trip with DH to the Dollar Tree and found some paper tape (used for bandaging wounds).  I had seen a tutorial back in September about making Washi tape with score tape and tissue paper.  Problem was my score tape is only 1/4 of an inch wide, but this paper tape could serve a similar medium.  It was worth the $1.00 to find out. I think it worked great.  Let me know what you think.
Inking paper tape with Distress ink.  You can make it as light or dark as you like.

I stamped the tape with images from Card Ministry Basics set.  This set has lots of sayings and some flowers, hearts and stems.  I stamped different images on each strip of tape.
I used ink to water color image.  I found this worked better than coloring with Copic markers.
So I added some ink to my non-stick matte and used my water brush to apply color to images.

I used the tape as clean stripes behind the scripture image, die cut with Spellbinder dies.
I made flowers from Kraft wrapping paper (also purchased from Dollar Tree).  The scripture
seemed perfect for a nature theme (.. I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands).  This
is an individual scripture stamp from Inspired Stamps.

This card was made with the left over strips.  I just staggered the strips and added scripture from Bind and Stitch set.
Please check out the other DT blogs to view their creations.  And be sure to check out Inspired Stamps to check out the stamps sets used
Thanks for stopping by and looking today.  Leave me a comment on what you think of this technique.  All the stamps used on the paper tape strips were from the Card Ministry Basics set, Inspired Stamps.  Have a great day!
