Unity Friends With Flair

Hello Friends with Flair.  I have been playing with some "new to me" Unity Stamps and some card sketches.  I used the Itty Bitty- Summertime Bouquet by Angie Blom with the Sweet and Sassy SSS04 card sketch.  I have been pinning card sketches on Pinterest so that I can refer to them when I am card making for inspiration.  This sketch I believe I followed fairly closely.
I stamped the image with Archival ink from Ranger so I could watercolor with Tim Holtz Distress markers.  I scribbled some ink on an acrylic block and then used water brush to apply color to the image.  I used Spellbinder dies to cut out image and matte.  I stamped the sentiment from the kit directly to dp.  I love how it turned out.  Let me know what you think.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello.  Inspired Stamps DT Thursday post with summer projects using a 2 X 2 individual scripture stamp.   I saw this post recently using the We R Memory Keepers candy punch board to make a hexagon box and I thought I would like to try it. I used Bazzill cardstock and used floral border punch and Vintage Marketplace papers for the bottom border.  I used Proverbs 3:5 as my individual scripture and inked with Peacock Feathers distress ink.  I added a punched heart and coated it with glossy accents.  I made the flowers from a Cuttlebug flower die set and added them to bamboo skewers.
I closed the top of the box with pink baker's twine.  I love how the box can act as a little vase for my paper flowers.  I thought this would make a great gift for a friend who might need a bit of encouragement.
I hope you like this project.  I list the directions down below.
To make the hexagon box:  You need a piece of cardstock 6 X 10.25 inches.  Score short side at 1.75 inches and 4.5 inches.
Placing the cardstock with the 1.75 inch scored edge at the top of the candy punch board, follow the directions on the punch board for punching and scoring the top side of the box.
Fold all the edges making sure to get good, crisp folds.  Cut on the hexagon score lines up to the 4.5 inch score line and fold in.  This will make the bottom of your box.  To clean up the look of the bottom, punch a large circle to fit over the bottom of the box (see photo below).
Decorate and fill as desired.  I hope you will try this versatile box and I love how we now have another option for this punch board.  I love getting more out of my tools.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  Make sure to check out all the other DT projects and the Inspired Stamps blog for combining your love for art journaling and memorizing scripture.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello Everyone, hope you are having a great week.  It looks like we might be getting a bit of sunshine today, it has been a bit wet here this week.

Today I made a card using a 2 X 2 individual scripture 1Thess 5:16-18.  This scripture is just speaking to me these days. Our family has so much to praise God for, we are a family of prayer and He is answering so many and in ways we did not imagine.  I hope you can take some time out of your day to give God praise for the things He is doing in your life and in the lives of those around you.  Pray for everything, nothing is too small for God (Prayer changes things and it changes you.  So pray.)

I used Bazzill pink and green cardstocks and Vintage Marketplace paper pack with an embossed piece of black cardstock.  The dies I used were from the Spellbinders Blossom Tags and Accents.  I cut the flag shapes with scissors by hand and colored the pearls black for center of flowers.
Thank you for stopping by today.  Please be sure to check out the other designs by the DT today and for more inspiration and to learn how to memorize scripture stop by the Inspired Stamps Blog.
Have a blessed day.

Unity Friends with Flair

Hello Friends with Flair.  I am back with more graduation cards.  I customized these cards for some of the young ladies within my church who were graduating from high school this year.  I used the Phyllis Harris set; Reach for the Stars.  I used watercolor paper and Tim Holtz Distress markers to paint these images.
I used an acrylic block to add color from the marker and then I used a water brush to pick up the color and add to my images.  You can see that even though I used similar colors in each image they turned out slightly different each time.
I love this set and the other sentiments that are included and it was a lot of fun to paint these images.  I find it very relaxing. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.

Inspired Stamps June Release

Hello Everyone.  It is time for the Inspired Stamps June Release.  We have lots of new 2 X 2 individual scriptures stamps and more, so be sure to check out all the DT blogs (click on links in my sidebar) to see all the new releases.  The Inspired Stamps are made of a clear polymer in the USA.  So check out these new releases (Friday at noon) and the many other stamps and Bazzill paper packs in the Inspired Stamps online store.

For today's card I used the new individual scripture from Ephesians 2:10 and paper from the Vintage Marketplace Bazzill paper pack.  The paper is double sided, so I chose to deboss the blue side with Lattice circles embossing folder and use the opposite side as an accent.  I used some turquoise Bazzill cardstock to die cut a heart circle from Spellbinder dies and used a 2 inch circle punch for scripture.  I colored three gems with Copic marker and added to bottom of card.  The front panel was matted on the turquoise cardstock and then on white cardbase.

Thank you for stopping by today and again make sure to check out other DT blogs and the Inspired Stamps blog for more ideas and inspiration.
