Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello Everyone.  Today the DT at Inspired Stamps were asked to make tags of all sizes.  I chose a manilla tag by Ranger and used distress inks.  I cut apart a manilla file folder to make tag and bird and used Distress inks on them as well. I used a sentiment from Sing for Joy set with some other die cuts (the leaf sprig, the rolled flower, leaves and tag) to finish off this tag.  I used Distress stains to color the lace for the top of tag and added a paper twine bow.
Thank you for stopping by and please check out the other DT creations and other great projects at the Inspired Stamps blog.

Unity Friends with Flair

Hello Friends with Flair.  I have been keeping up with the Friday posts, so I did not want to falter this week.  This has been busier than planned, other side projects that I needed to get finished so I was not sure if I would have a post, but here it is.
The images are from Treasure to Me and I paper pieced the dress and hat.  I added some washi tape and embellishments at the bottom to cover the shoes and hat box that are also on this image (I just wanted to focus on the dress and hat) and then stamped the "giggle" sentiment stamp.  Lovely card for a young lady.  Paper used is from DCWV and Fiskars border punch for scallop.
Thanks for stopping by.  Glad I could get something posted for this week.  Have a great week everyone.  Hope the weather is getting warmer for everyone, we now have mud in the place of the snow. It has been storming quite a bit, but today brings some sunshine (you can see it peeking around the card in the picture).

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello Everyone.  It is warming up and the snow is starting to melt and I hope Spring will be upon us soon.  I have made a few cards in a box for family and friends with a Valentine theme, so I thought I would try it with Inspired Stamps flowers and 2 X 2 individual scripture stamps.  I used several sets here: flowers value pack, Spring Sketches, Thank You and I Thessalonians 5:16-18.
I used Kraft cardstock and ghost stamping for the box sides.  I stamped the sunflower image in a light colored Memento chalk ink and then stamped the circle from the Thank You set in cantaloupe.  I also used the smaller circles for filler images.  I colored all the flowers with Copic markers and arranged the flowers in the box, so that there is minimal overlap when card is folded flat so that it will fit in a standard sized envelope.  But what a fun surprise for the recipient.
These would also make great center pieces for an event.
This is the back view.  I matted white cardstock on a piece of yellow and attached to the back.  This is where you can write your message and it reinforces the back of the box.  Below you will see how nicely it fits into a standard sized envelope.  Let me know if you need the dimensions, there are other tutorials out in the blog-o-sphere and they said they fit in a standard sized envelope but they did not, but thankfully I have the envelope punch board so I made a custom envelope for my Valentine cards.  This one does fit in a regular, standard envelope, no additional work required.  Let me know what you think and as always, please check out the other DT members creations and the Inspired Stamps store for all these stamps and so many more.

Unity Friends with Flair

Happy Valentine's Day to all.  Wish you much love and happiness.  I pulled out my very first Unity set to use this week.  I purchased this set in a Stamp store after I had been to CHA and fell in love with the Unity line.  This set is called City of Love.  I made a couple one layer, clean and simple cards.  I used black, white and red.  I love this color combo.  I colored the hearts with red metallic gel pen.  Thanks for stopping by.  What was the first Unity set that you purchased?  Have you made a card with it recently?

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello Everyone.  We are back with some more great projects using stamps from the January and February releases.  Today I wanted to stay with the Valentine theme and use the Missing You circles set.  I decided to keep card clean and simple with some creams and blacks and a pop of red for the hearts.  I used a 1.5 inch circle punch and a Martha Stewart heart punch for this card.  I added glossy accents to the hearts and popped them up with foam adhesive.
I hope you have a great Valentine's Day and weekend.
Check out the other DT blogs to see their creations and of course you can take a peek at all the creations at the Inspired Stamps blog and you can purchase any of these new sets at the Inspired Stamps online store.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day.

Unity: Friday Friends With Flair

Hello Friends with Flair.  Has everyone survived this week with all the new snow and in some places ice?
I needed a baby girl card for some friends who were just blessed with their new addition to their family.  I like this set by Unity: Time and Season with the birds and the quote by Charles Dickens (Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of it's own) for new babies.  This family has an older boy and now three girls, so I colored the smaller birds to match their family and the larger bird I imagine is the mommy bird, daddy is away getting food or something.  With all the dreary winter landscape I decided to do something a bit more bright and full of life because isn't that what a new baby is all about?  Bringing new life and brightness (joy)  into our lives?  I colored the image with Copic markers and matted on a pink layer.  I punched a flower (EK Success) and added some leaves (McGill). I also added a yellow strip punched with the Martha Stewart border punch and placed it behind the image.  I added a sentiment inside:  Look who's here! Congratulations.
Update:  I have been sending cards out on a pretty regular basis, but I do not think I will reach 365 for the year unless we can count Christmas cards.  I hope you are also taking up this challenge and spreading some joy by sending your handmade creations to those who may need a blessing.
Have a great weekend.  Stay warm.

Inspired Stamps February Release

Hello and welcome to Inspired Stamps February Release.  Today if you visit all the DT blogs you will see all the beautiful stamps that will be released at noon on Friday in the Inspired Stamps Online Store.  All the stamps are made in the U.S.A.
I used a new individual 2 X 2 scripture stamp (Psalms 9:10) for my card.  The font reminded me of a vintage typewriter so I used Majestic Squares, Spellbinder dies to layer with the image.  I dyed some crinkle ribbon to match and added faux stitching on the base layer to mimic the matte layers.
I created this card in a 4.25 X 4.25 size which is not a standard size, so I used my envelope punch board to make a custom envelope.
Thanks for stopping by and please be sure to stop by the Inspired Stamps blog for more inspiration and check out the other stamps being released this month.

Baby Girl card

Hello everyone.  I hope you are safe and warm.  We are gearing up for yet another winter storm, but I thought I would share a cute baby girl card.  I used the unmounted rubber stamps in the Stampabilities Baby set.  I just stamped all the cute little wheeled toys in a line and colored with Copic markers.  I used the Martha Stewart Lace border punch and Sizzix button die for the finishing touches.  Thanks for stopping by  and I hope you have a safe and warm day.  I will be back on Thursday with an Inspired Stamps New Release post, so please stop by again then.
