Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello Everyone, it is Thursday and time for another Inspired Stamps DT post.  Today we were asked to make baby or wedding cards.  "Tis the Season" for weddings, so I chose to make a few wedding cards.  I love the color combination of black, white and red so that is what I have used for both of my cards for this week.
The first card I used the large rose from the Flower Value pack set and stamped in black ink.  I matted this layer onto black cardstock and then added the sentiment from Perfect Sentiments onto a red, border punched piece.  Clean and Simple.
The second card I made a cake from three pieces of white cardstock cut into rectangles.  I embossed the pieces and added glitter tape at seams.  I stamped and colored several of the small roses and one medium sized rose from FlowerValue pack and fussy cut them all and added them to the cake.  I used foam adhesive to raise up a few and added punched leaves for interest.  I again used the "congratulations" stamp from perfect sentiments and adhered everything to an embossed piece of black cardstock.
Please be sure to check out the other DT creations and visit the Inspired Stamps blog for more inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Unity Friends With Flair

Hello and Good Friday,
I wanted to share a quick Easter card using a few products I have had for a while but have not used.  One is the Darice cross with words embossing folder.  I cut out the cross and distressed with Distress inks: Peacock feathers, Concord, and Picked Raspberry.  I just wanted some nice "Easter colors".  I used a woodgrain embossing folder on Kraft for background and stamped sentiment from Unity's "What Matters Most" set.  I cut banner and inked with distress inks.  Just playing around and quick card was born.  It has been a busy week so not much more to share on the crafting front.
Have a Happy Easter and thanks for stopping by.

Inspired Stamps Thursday DT post

Hello and Rejoice.
Today I used another Hymn girl set.  This one is Hymn Girl June.  I used one of the words "Rejoice" in the set to stamp on the green flag.  I cut girl out and colored her with Copics.  I was not going to color anything but her skin but I love coloring and before I knew it she was colored.
I used Bazzill cardstock and Vintage Marketplace designer paper pack.  The Inspired Stamps Online Store is now carrying a variety of Bazzill papers, so check it out.
I pleated the paper by scoring 1 inch, .5 inches, 1 inch, repeating.  The paper is only 6 inches wide so I used a second strip and joined them in the middle.  I added lace to top and bottom of pleat and a button with a twine bow to complete.
I think this Hymn Girl exudes joy (another of the words in this set) and this is a time that we should be rejoicing our Risen Savior.  But as Christians we should be rejoicing everyday for all that He has done and is doing in our daily lives.  So rejoice with me today and everyday for what our Lord has done.
Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you feel the joy this Hymn Girl is exhibiting and have a great day.  Remember to stop by the Inspired Stamps blog for more creations and information.  Have a great Easter.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Happy Thursday.  It is starting to feel like Spring.  Today I made a CAS card using Hymn Girl November.  I love how lovely this image is with her kneeling and praying.  I used Bazzill cardstock and dp Vintage Marketplace.  I thought it looked like wallpaper in a young girl's room.  I colored the girl with Copics but did not want solid green for her dress so I outlined and blended with Colorless blender pen, I just wanted some color to pull out the background, but not a lot.  I used American Craft adhesive glitter tape to join dp to cardstock and then attached to cardbase.  I used Spellbinder Romantic Rectangle dies.  The smallest die would not accomadate the word "Prayer" so I masked off the -er and inked only the word Pray and stamped on the rectangle and inked with Distress inks.

Remember to check out the beautiful projects by our other DT members and be sure to visit the Inspired Stamps blog at noon today to see if you are selected as a winner of the $10.00 gift certificate for commenting on the last two blogposts.  Thank you for stopping by.  Remember that these lovely stamps and many others can be purchased in the Inspired Stamps Online Store.

Inspired Stamps April Release

Hello Everyone and welcome to the Inspired Stamps April Release.  Today I chose to make a card that really shows off these two new sets:  Hymn Girl August and Hymn Earth and Weather sets.  I chose to use only the sun and cloud from the latter set, but there are many more images such as, rain drops, umbrella, earth etc...

I stamped all the images onto white card base and then made a mask for each image and used Tim Holtz Distress inks to make the grass and sky.  I peeled off the mask for the sun and carefully inked  and went in with Distress markers and water brush to add more color. (I only have Spiced Marmalade in the Distress marker not ink pads.)  I did the same with the Hymn Girl August and used Distress markers and water brush to color in her dress.  I used flesh tone Copics for her skin.  And that was it card is finished, but don't these new images just "shine"?
