Inspired Stamps-Love

Single bible verse stamp and heart from Card Ministry Basics,
Inspired Stamps.
Hello Everyone!  Happy Thursday.  I hope that everyone is well, we have been battling with the ick here.  Today's card is CAS but I made a frame for my bible verse (which I stamped in gray).  I used the large heart from the Card Ministry Basics set and stamped the hearts in a circle to form a frame.  I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the frame. I then stamped 12 more hearts in the pink ink (Memento) and adhered to frame with pop dots and then added Crystal Effects to the top layer of hearts.  Gray dot pattern paper is DCWV and white strip was cut with scallop border (Fiskars).  I added some shear pink ribbon and three pink rhinestones.  The verse is "And now these three remain faith, hope, and love.  But the greatest of these is love.  I hope you like it and you will be inspired to look at your stamps a little differently and see what you can create.

Unity- Friends with Flair

Hello Unity-Friends with Flair.  I thought I would make another baby card.  I love this image Time and Season Itty Bitty with the Charles Dickens quote " Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of it's own".  I thought it would make a great baby card.  I colored the image with Copic markers and used the sentiment from Spring set.  I added some blue gingham ribbon and a button.  The button was white so I used my Copic marker to color the button the same hue as the little birdies.  Have a great night and stay warm.

Inspired Stamps DT Post

Hello everyone!  Happy Thursday!  Today the Inspired Stamps DT was asked to create projects with nature stamps and scripture.  I couldn't decide what to do, so I had taken a trip with DH to the Dollar Tree and found some paper tape (used for bandaging wounds).  I had seen a tutorial back in September about making Washi tape with score tape and tissue paper.  Problem was my score tape is only 1/4 of an inch wide, but this paper tape could serve a similar medium.  It was worth the $1.00 to find out. I think it worked great.  Let me know what you think.
Inking paper tape with Distress ink.  You can make it as light or dark as you like.

I stamped the tape with images from Card Ministry Basics set.  This set has lots of sayings and some flowers, hearts and stems.  I stamped different images on each strip of tape.
I used ink to water color image.  I found this worked better than coloring with Copic markers.
So I added some ink to my non-stick matte and used my water brush to apply color to images.

I used the tape as clean stripes behind the scripture image, die cut with Spellbinder dies.
I made flowers from Kraft wrapping paper (also purchased from Dollar Tree).  The scripture
seemed perfect for a nature theme (.. I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands).  This
is an individual scripture stamp from Inspired Stamps.

This card was made with the left over strips.  I just staggered the strips and added scripture from Bind and Stitch set.
Please check out the other DT blogs to view their creations.  And be sure to check out Inspired Stamps to check out the stamps sets used
Thanks for stopping by and looking today.  Leave me a comment on what you think of this technique.  All the stamps used on the paper tape strips were from the Card Ministry Basics set, Inspired Stamps.  Have a great day!

Unity- Friends with Flair

Heart Times, Unity; Sizzix heart embossing folder;

I thought I would I would participate again this week in Unity-Friends with Flair.  I bought Heart Times which has lots of images and sentiments for someone who is sick or hurt or just a general love encouragement.  This particular image could be used as a Valentine's card with your own saying "Here is a prescription for love".  I know, I know it is a bit corney.  I also wanted to try ruffling ribbon on a card.  This is my first attempt, it turned out ok so I think I will try again in the future.  The embossing folder is from Sizzix Valentine set.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  Thank you for looking.  I would love to hear your thoughts.  Do you have another Valentine sentiment that you think would work with this image?  Have a great weekend.

Inspired Stamps January Release Sneak Peek

Double dutch fold with Inspired Stamps
Hope Transformed images and sentiments.
It is time for the Inspired Stamps January Release Sneak Peek.  I have used the new set 'Hope Transformed'.  This set has some great scripture and the butterfly image which I watercolored and added a bit of bling with the rhinestones that I custom colored using my Copic markers.
The card is a unique fold called the double dutch fold.  It has a double door at the bottom to reveal your message.  I used a Quikcuts circle scroll die for the top of the card and then punched out a circle for the "faith, hope and love" sentiment and used pop dots to add dimension.  Fancy tags by Spellbinders and window punch, SU! were used at bottom to hold the door closed.  For the inside I used another fancy tag by Spellbinders to frame the scripture verse.
PTIs spring moss for the card base and dp from DCWV latte collection.
This is a beautiful set and you will find many uses for it.  Please also check out Jamie's blog and see what she created with this set and the other great images.  This set and ALL the other January releases will be available at the Inspired Stamps store at noon on Friday.  If you have missed the other releases please be sure to check out the other DT blogs for their wonder creations and to get a sneak peek at the new releases.  Also be sure to check out Antoinette's blog for chances to win some great prizes as well as see some great projects.

Spring, Unity colored with Copic markers.
I decided to join in on the Friday fun with Friends with Flair at Unity.  I purchased some Unity stamps before Christmas at one of the awesome sales they were offering.  I loved this Spring set because of this image.  I make a lot of "welcome baby" cards and I thought this image was sweet.  I used my Spellbinder dies to cut image and matte. I colored the image with Copic markers.  I used a piece of red checked ribbon (free with gift from Bed, Bath and Beyond).  I scored two lines at bottom of card and stamped sentiment.  We mail these cards so they cannot have a lot of bulk, so I kept this one sweet and simple.  I figure this could be for a baby boy or girl due to the neutral colors.  Thank you for stopping by and looking.  Please feel free to leave some kind words I would love to hear from you.

Inspired Stamps DT Choice

Card Ministry Basics set, Inspired Stamps
Hello Everyone and happy Thursday.  Today at Inspired Stamps each of the DT was asked to create something of their choice.  I decided to ink up Card Ministry Basics.  This set has many sentiments for encouragement, here I chose "praying you feel better soon" and "praying for you" in alternating rows.  The open circle comes in this set, as well as a solid circle.  I stamped the circle in cloud white ink.  I used two coordinating dp from Linen Closet line (DCWV).  This set also comes with the flower pot, several flowers, leaves, stems and the hearts.  I stamped three flowers directly on circle and three flowers on separate sheet colored with Copic markers, cut out and pop dotted on circle. I used  clear stickles in the flower centers.   The lacey circle was cut with Spellbinder die.  I hope you enjoy my card using only Card Ministry Basics set from Inspired Stamps.  This set is very versatile check it out at www.inspiredstamps.com.  Please check out the other fabulous DT and their inspired creations.  Make sure to come back next week to see the January releases from Inspired Stamps.  Remember these stamps are made in the U.S.A. and most orders ship out the next day.  Please feel free to leave some kind words for myself and fellow DT members, we all love to hear from you.

More Christmas cards- Stampendous

Here are a few more CAS Christmas cards.  These were stamped using the Snowy Short Stacks, Stampenous clear stamp set.  In this set you have different heads, bodies, feet and accessories.  It also includes a few cute sayings, like to warm your heart.  This set can be used all winter long.  In the snowman card, I embossed the base with a Sizzix embossing folder (grid snowflake) and the penguin I used the Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and used the debossed side.  I used Spellbinder oval and scalloped ovals on both cards and colored both cards with Copic markers.  I was trying to make these as CAS as possible.  It is amazing the difference it makes for the look of the card by just embossing the background.  My non-cardmaking friends are so impressed with the detail.  Should I tell them how easy it is to do or let them think I slaved over the making of their card?  Drop me some kind words.  Have a great day!

Wishing You Peace and Joy- Unity

Hello Everyone!  I hope you all had a great New Year.  Today school is back in session.  It was a little difficult to get back in the swing of things, but we did it.
Here is another CAS card I put together as a Christmas card.  I used kraft card as base and for image, Unity (which I stamped in rich cocoa, rounded corners and inked edges and popped up with dimensional tape).  I colored the dove with a white gel pen and the tree with a Copic marker.  I added a bit of sheer ribbon for texture and voila, card is finished.
I only make about 6-8 cards in each style and then move on to another card design.  I will continue to post the other designs throughout the week.
Thank you for stopping by and please leave some kind words.

Christmas Joy- Stamptv

Hello, I will be posting more Christmas card designs over the next few days.  This was was created with free digital image from stamptv (Gina K designs).  The image downloads 3 per page in three different sizes, so I am showing card designs for all three sizes.  I chose to color all images the same with Copic markers and then just altered the background.  The embossing folders were Sizzix (Basic Grey designs) in Christmas line.  I bought these at JoAnn's for mear pennies a folder during an incredible sale.  I do love a great sale.
Have a Happy New Year.  I am hoping that I can create Christmas cards year round, so the week before Christmas I will not be rushing around trying to get them finished.  We will see if I can stick with that resolution.  Life has a funny way of happening and messing up perfectly good plans.  I wish you and your family many blessings in 2012.
