Inspired Stamps favorite Stamp to color
Hello everyone, it is Thursday and time for some more beautiful creations using Inspired Stamps. I love to color and do so with most of my cards. I know lots of card makers that do not like it, but I find it somewhat relaxing. I could not initially decide what stamp to color because I love to color them all but decided on using flowers. This week I used the set Thinking of You for the flower and the sentiment. I stamped the first flower and masked it off and stamped the second flower and then colored the image with Copic markers. For this first card I used the Sakura stardust pen to add some glitter and the silver pearl pen for the center of the flower. For the background I used Sizzix Awesome Blossom embossing folder and did a double letterpress technique. I inked the embosssing folder on the side with the flowers and leaves as the relieved area and ran through the Big Shot, then I used inks (all inks were distress inks for this technique) to color in the flowers and leaves to match my focal image.
For this second card I followed the same techniques described above except chose purple for my flowers. I used Spellbinders dies for the circle and large scallop circle and cut portion of image off to have a asymmetrical focal image. Not what I would normally do, but sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zone and try something new. I really like how these cards turned out and enjoyed trying "new" techniques in the process. I think I will be using them again in the future. Have a great day and do not forget to visit the Inspired Stamps blog for more inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some kind words about these creations. I do love hearing from you.
These are so cool! I LOVE the background you created. I get so lazy and never use techniques like that. Thanks for the inspiration to stretch my creativity:)
