Unity-Friends with Flair

Hello, I wasn't sure if I would get this posted today.  But I made it.  I used the Itty Bitty, Big Summertime Bouquet.  The sentiment in this set says, "there are so many Beautiful reasons to be happy".  God provides all those beautiful reasons and I am so thankful.  I like the Recollections 110 lb cardstock for card bases.  It is a nice, sturdy weight and now they carry white, ivory and black.  I like the black base with the white panel on the inside, which I stamped in Memento London fog ink.  I also stamped the bouquet image on the envelope.  I have started trying to complete the "whole" card package.  I usually only make the outside and leave the rest blank, but I found I like the finished doing inside and envelope as well.
Have a great Memorial Day and if you are around tomorrow check out the OWH Memorial Day blog hop.  It is their final year to collect and send out cards, so come join in on the fun.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello, Happy Thursday.  It is Spring break here in my neck of the woods.  It has been a nice restful week.  I have had lots of time to be creative.  I have seen these screen cards and I wanted to try it.  I thought for today's theme of scripture this would be a great card.
This would be so encouraging for the recipient to display on their desk and remind them of how God uses their trials to produce endurance and that He uses all things for our good.  I know this is a great encouragement to me.  I embossed the panels and added some die cut leaves, that I water colored and then added Ranger rock candy.  It leaves a nice cracked finish.  I added punched flowers with pearl centers and some vellum butterflies with pearl middles.  This card would fold up and fit into a standard size envelope.
This is definitely one I will be creating again.  The scripture stamps are 2 X 2 individual scripture stamps from Inspired Stamps which can be purchased at the Etsy store.
Remember to check out the other DT projects and leaves some words of kindness.  We love to hear from you.  Remember the 31 days of March bible journaling is still taking place.  Visit the Inspired Stamps blog for the link to learn more about journaling in your bible.
Have a great week and create something and encourage someone.  Thanks for stopping by.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello Everyone.  Hope you are all warm.  We are in the midst of another bout of snow.  We went so long with a mild winter and now we are seeing some snow.
Today our theme at Inspired Stamps is Easter.  Easter is only a few short weeks away, so now is the time to start creating Easter cards to share with your friends and family.  I chose Hymn Girl: March and Perfect Sentiments for my card.  I decided to go with a clean and simple card, embossing the white card and stamping Hymn Girl in the center.  I chose to emphasize the significance of the cross by only applying color to it.  I added the sentiment with a few punched flowers with Perfect Pearl accents.
I want to remind you that all these stamps and many more can be purchased in the Esty store and that shipping is free for orders over $25.00 in the US.
For more inspiration be sure to check out the Inspired Stamps blog.  New stamp sets are released on Fridays and Antoinette is hosting a Bible Journaling class for the month of March at her companion blog.  Be sure to stop by and check out the wonderful inspiration.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello Everyone.  It is Thursday.  School is back in full swing.  It is hard to believe but Fall will soon be here, so today we are creating fall themed cards using our favorite Inspired Stamps. I love sunflowers, they are so bright and cheery and make a great transition from summer to fall.  So I used the Fall Gratitude set with Flower value pack.  I colored the flowers with Copic markers and popped them up for added dimension.  The scripture I chose is Psalm 107:1.  This is a scripture we should have in our hearts in every season.  No matter what we are going through the Lord is still good and we should still praise Him.  Praise Him today for what He has done for you.

Please stop by the other DT blogs to see their fall themed cards.  Inspired Stamps are made of clear polymer in the USA and can be purchased in the Inspired Stamps Online store. Thank you for stopping by today and have a blessed weekend.

Inspired Stamps July New Release

Hello Everyone.  Today is the Inspired Stamps July Release.  We have several of individual stamps to be released, available for purchase in the Inspired Stamps Online store Friday at noon.
Today I used the new "Praying for you" it might be called "I am praying" in the online store.  I used Bazzill cardstock and Vintage Marketplace paper (also available in the Inspired Stamps online store).  The papers coordinate well with each other.  I love green, so I could not resist the green gingham checked paper with the beautiful roses.  I embossed the pink cardstock and inked with Vintage Photo distress ink.  I used Spellbinder dies to cut label shape and circle. I hand cut the tails on banners.  As a finishing touch,  I added a bow and some pearls that I colored with a Copic marker to match.
Please check out the other released stamps and the other DT members beautiful work.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Friday Unity Friends With Flair

Hello everyone, another week passes with all of it's craziness.  Still I managed to make a few cards. I am also trying to work on the decorations for my DD graduation party (two weeks away and counting, please pray I can get done what I need to for this event).

I played some more with water colors for the focal image and then over stamped the background with this lovely image from the Unity set; Bold Insight.  I went in and water colored the flower heads with purples.  I embossed the script embossing folder onto purple cardstock and inked with Distress inks.
Added a few finishing touches like the ribbon, inking the edges and then popped up image.  Pretty clean and simple.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Unity Friends with Flai

Happy Friday!  It is sunny and almost 65 degrees today.  Glorious day.
I made a shabby chic card today.  I have been playing with my Distress inks quite a bit lately.  I love this look when others make it but when I do, I think it looks messy.  Oh well, maybe it will grow on me.
I made the card by embossing top half and bottom half (leaving middle section without embossing) with beaded ribbon embossing folder.  I stamped the sentiment and houses from Unity's Dutch Mustard Soup set.  I only colored the heart and added Glossy Accents.  Side note:  Does anyone have trouble with Glossy Accents clogging up and what do you do?  I have tried unclogging with a pin but will inevitably slice the tip.  I have also tried leaving in a stick pin, but then it rusts.  So now I have a rusty, sliced tip that Glossy Accents blobs out the end.  I think I can replace the tip, but I need a tip to keep it unclogged or a way to unclog it that won't destroy the tip.  Help!
I added a piece of red patterned paper and then words piece (Colorbok, Flea Market collection), I added stitch lines and made stick pin by stamping stick pin from Sew Cute set and cutting out heart and adhering to straight pin.  The ribbon is Tim Holtz seam binding that I inked with Walnut stain distress ink, as I did card base.  I added a button with some linen thread and finished.  Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think.  I do so appreciate your comments.  Have a great weekend.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello Happy Thursday!  Today at Inspired Stamps, it is DT choice.  I chose to use Spring Sketches along with a sketch I found on Pinterest for today's card design.
I punched out the kraft postage stamps and added punched flowers and Copic colored butterflies, that I fussy cut and pop dotted.  The verse is also from Spring Sketches.  I am secretly hoping Spring will come soon and leave the cold and dreary weather behind.
The top of the card is an edgeabilities classic rick rack die set and the swiss dot embossing folder and some ribbon and a button.
Thank you for stopping by, please be sure to check out the other DT creations and see what is their favorites.  Stop by the Inspired Stamps blog for the 31 days of Art Journaling.  Have a blessed day.

Inspired Stamps-DT Thursday

It is another Christmas card.  Time is ticking away and if you are like me you keep putting off making your Christmas cards and before you know it, it is time to send them out and you are scrambling to make them.  Every year I say I will do better, but I always seem to making them up to the last possible minute.
Here is a Christmas card I made with Christmas verses, Inspired Stamps but if you have the 1.5 inch Christmas circles you could use that set as well.  I found some dp that I cut a circle with my Spellbinders and had it hang off the card.  I liked it because I felt it went well with the verse.  The tags on the presents say "a gift for you".  Isn't that what John 3:16 says,  God sent his son for the whole world, "a gift for you".

I cut some holly leaves (I have had that die since I started paper crafting and it doesn't see much love.)  I think we all need to go through our supplies and see what we have and use some of those oldies but goodies.  I am definitely going to make more Christmas cards with this die this year.
I embossed  a red piece of cardstock with poinsettia folder by Sizzix and added some glitter ribbon and the sentiment from same stamp set and voila!
Leave me a comment on whether you have started your Christmas cards yet and how many you need and how many are finished.  This card makes 6 out of 60 for me, I still have a long way to go.
Have a great day.

Inspired Stamps Thursday DT post

Hello Everyone.  I have some news for you.  Inspired Stamps is having a sale until midnight Friday, August 30th.  The sale is 20% off everything including sale/clearance items, so hurry over to the Inspired Stamps Store and choose your favorites before the sale ends.

Today we are celebrating with Birthday cards.  I used two Inspired Stamps sets, Thinking of you (flower cluster) and Perfect Sentiments.  I did some omitting stamping to stamp the "Happy" and "Birthday" on different lines.  If you look at this stamp set the words are in a straight line, but I wanted them to fit on my tag, so I inked each word separately.
I embossed the background with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder and used washi tape to make a banner.  I colored the flower image with Copics to match the washi colors.  I then mounted everything on a pink card base.

Thanks for stopping by and please be sure to check out the other DT designs and visit the Inspired Stamps blog for more tips on how to memorize scripture and make beautiful art journal pieces.  Have a great long weekend.  My kids are looking forward to sleeping in :)

Inspired Stamps- Thursday DT

Hello everyone.  It is Christmas in July.  We are thinking about Christmas projects and card here at Inspired Stamps.  Today I used one of my favorite sets, Winter Ruth.  I colored her with Copic markers and fussy cut her and the ornament she is holding.  I made a card base out of white card stock and embossed another layer with an embossing folder.  I added some Stickles for some bling.  I stamped the sentiment and used the SU! Window punch and pop dotted on the image.  It is never too early to start thinking of designing and making Christmas cards, especially if you give out lots of them.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.  Check out the other projects by all the other talented DT members at the Inspired Stamps blog.

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

christmas

Hello Everyone, it is Thursday and time to post the Inspired Stamps DT Thursday project.  Today I used this sweet 1 inch Snowman set again.  I just love the versatility of this set.  So many cute snowmen and snowladies to choose from.  Today I cut some postage stamp shapes, using a Sizzlet die.  I stamped and colored the images, debossed with a snowflake folder (Cuttlebug) and inked with anique linen and walnut distress inks.  I sprayed with frosted shimmer spray and pop dotted to dp when dry.  I believe the dp is MME and used Martha Stewart red ribbon for bow.  Mounted all to red cardbase.  Fun, Christmas card.  Please don't forget to check out the sale going on at Inspired Stamps and check out the other DT creations by visiting links to the right or the Inspired Stamps blog.  Have a great day and have fun working on your Christmas cards.

Inspired Stamps May Release

Hello Everyone, Today myself and two of the other Inspired Stamps Designers are showing projects with this new set: Amazing Grace.  I used the this new set to make a card and a key chain.

I used the Cuttlebug music note embossing folder and inked with Distress inks.  I added a flourish (also in this set) in the blank space and then the words to Amazing Grace on a panel that I inked and rounded two corners.
The key chain was made by stamping the large image onto shrink plastic and inked with alcohol inks (lettuce, cranberry, latte and a bit of silver metallic). I covered the back of image with a plastic sheet and added silver foil tape around the edges.  I added some beads a heart charm and a key ring with a key (love).  The shrink plastic is very light so it makes for great key chains.  I hope you enjoy my projects, please check out Anita and Belinda for more projects using this great set and then check the other designers each day throughout the week for more new releases.  All the new releases will be available at the Inspired Stamps store at noon on Friday.  Make sure to check out Antoinette's blog for more sneak peak surprises throughout the week.Thank you for stopping by and have a great week.
