Inspired Stamps- DT Thursday

 Fall is in the air.  Most schools are taking Fall breaks, so at Inspired Stamps we are making Fall cards.  Today I used the Flower Value Pack set for the sunflowers and stems and Perfect Sentiments for all the sentiments.

I used BoBunny Apple Cider Collection and Neutral double dot papers.  Both of these paper packs and many others are now available for purchase in the Inspired Stamps Online Store.
I colored and fussy cut all the sunflowers and stems.I added glossy accents and glitter to the center of each flower.  I love the extra sparkle each flower provides to the card, but the glitter will not flake off because it is embedded in the glossy accents.   I used dies for the label and the flower pot and the Fiskars grass border punch for the grass around the pot.  I also used a Sizzix die to create the pop up element.

I thought it would be fun to open to a bouquet of flowers.

Inspired Stamps Christmas month

 Hope you are enjoying a restful Labor Day.  Today the Inspired Stamps design team is creating with Christmas stamps.   I used one of my favorite stamp sets Winter Ruth.  This set comes with several sentiments and different objects for this darling girl to hold. You can find Winter Ruth and all the stamp sets used today in the Inspired Stamps Online Store.

I used an embossing diffuser to leave center area blank so I could stamp Winter Ruth while the outside was embossed with Sizzix snowflake embossing folder. I pulled out the Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and colored in the image.  I added some details using white enamel for her fur collar, the snow on the ground and on the tree.  I added glitter to the embossed background to make it sparkle.  I added some Glossy accents and glitter to the Christmas ornament.  Stamped sentiment and made a banner, added some scalloped ruffles at the bottom and voila.  I hope you try this technique of embossing around your stamped image.  Please be sure to check out the other DT creations.  Click on the links below to go to their blogs, please be sure to leave them some love.  Now it is time for you to be inspired and get out your supplies and start making some Christmas cards.  Happy crafting!

Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

 Hello Everyone, it is Thursday and time for another Inspired Stamps DT post.  Today we were asked to make baby or wedding cards.  "Tis the Season" for weddings, so I chose to make a few wedding cards.  I love the color combination of black, white and red so that is what I have used for both of my cards for this week.
The first card I used the large rose from the Flower Value pack set and stamped in black ink.  I matted this layer onto black cardstock and then added the sentiment from Perfect Sentiments onto a red, border punched piece.  Clean and Simple.

The second card I made a cake from three pieces of white cardstock cut into rectangles.  I embossed the pieces and added glitter tape at seams.  I stamped and colored several of the small roses and one medium sized rose from FlowerValue pack and fussy cut them all and added them to the cake.  I used foam adhesive to raise up a few and added punched leaves for interest.  I again used the "congratulations" stamp from perfect sentiments and adhered everything to an embossed piece of black cardstock.

Unity Friends with Flair

Hello Friends with Flair.  I have been keeping up with the Friday posts, so I did not want to falter this week.  This has been busier than planned, other side projects that I needed to get finished so I was not sure if I would have a post, but here it is.
The images are from Treasure to Me and I paper pieced the dress and hat.  I added some washi tape and embellishments at the bottom to cover the shoes and hat box that are also on this image (I just wanted to focus on the dress and hat) and then stamped the "giggle" sentiment stamp.  Lovely card for a young lady.  Paper used is from DCWV and Fiskars border punch for scallop.

Unity Friends with Flair

 Hello Everyone.  I have a new (to me) toy   tool to play with and I needed to use it to make my dd a small appreciation gift to take with her for her host on her college visit.  I thought it would be nice for her to give a small token to the young lady who volunteered to let her stay with her.  I used my We R Memory Keepers gift bag punch board.  I made a gift bag at the largest size to fit in a couple of packages of microwave popcorn.  The packages would not allow the gift bag to fold in on the sides so I decided I needed to make a "gift bag topper"  I had seen ladies make them to go on "store bought" bags so I thought "how could I do this?" Then I looked on my craft space and the 2 inch piece of cardstock I just cut off  was sitting there, staring me down.  It said "me, me."  So I thought I would put in on the punch board and repeat what I had done to make the gift bag and voila a "gift bag topper" was born.

For today's post I used the smallest gift bag size to make a gift bag to share with you.  The width of the cardstock required for a small gift bag is 10 inches and the height can vary from 4-12 inches.  I made mine about 8 inches.  I used the remaining 10 inch wide piece to make the "gift bag topper".  Remember the topper has to be the same width as the original bag you built and the length needs to be at least 2.5 inches to properly sit on bag, anything shorter and it wants to fall off.
Today I used Unity's Treasure to Me set to stamp the flowers and leaves.  I used my Sizzix die for flower pot (which I inked and then chalked for depth).  I added a tag (QuikCuts) with sentiment from Jillibean soup.  It is a smaller version of some of the stamps in the Dutch Mustard set.  I found it at Michael's and thought it would be perfect for this small tag die that I purchased on clearance around Christmas.  I also matted my image my Perfect layers tools.  I have had them forever, but have all but forgotten them due to my increased use of Spellbinder dies.  I was reminded of them a few days ago and dusted them off and used it to make a perfect 1/16th of an inch border around my image.  Does anyone else have tools you have long forgotten, we need to remember to look around and use some of those great tools again.
I received the envelope punch board for Christmas and it is very versatile and I was singing it's praises to my husband, who then decided to buy  me more punch boards for my birthday and it took quite a while but they finally arrived this week and I couldn't wait to play.  The gift bags are quite small, but they are perfect for bags of treats or small gifts, if you wanted a larger gift bag to hold a shirt or stuffed animal you would need to use a purchased gift bag.  The widths of the gift bags cannot be altered since it is set by the markings on the board.  I can see many uses for the sizes I can make and the boards are quite easy to use, once you have made a couple.  So if you are looking to purchase any of these boards (I have tried all except flower maker), I highly recommend them.

 Gift bag topper:  cardstock was 10 inches wide (because I made the small gift bag) and 3 inches deep.  I used the gift bag punch board, following directions I used to make gift bag and folded the lid box and used red line tape to seal flaps, then I cut a piece of cardstock to the dimensions of the top of lid and adhered to cover the flaps.  I also cut a piece of 10 inch wide white cardstock and punched with border punch and place on punch board but this time only scored the lines for the gift bag, so that I could easily fold the trim and attach to lid.  Decorate as you wish.  I have looked at a lot of videos and blogs about these punch boards, but I did not see anyone make a "topper", so I hope this helps to make this more versatile for you.

Music sheet Christmas cards

 I know it is past Christmas but this style can be used for all occasions, so I thought I would share.  I absolutely loved making this card.  I copied some music out of an old hymnal.  We love books in my house and have a hard time destroying them, so I could not bring myself to pull out the pages to use directly.  I cut the pages down to fit card front, some of the songs were shorter so the music was a bit smaller but then I just created a larger border at top of card.  I inked the music sheets with distress inks.  I then stamped different snowflakes from Snowflake kisses set, Unity.  I stamped the snowflakes with tumbled glass and broken china distress inks.  I added a border strip and stamped a sentiment from different stamps sets from various companies.  I used various circle punches to punch out circles from solid color and music sheet, then added bling in the middle.
I used the Fiskars snowflake border punch for bottom edge of card.  I added a border with solid paper and music sheet at bottom border of inside as well.  I had fun making these and they were easy to do in multiples.
A sheet of a love song could be used with heart stamps and Valentine sentiments could be used to make a lovely Valentine card.  If you and your significant other have a special song, you could use it as the background paper.

Inspired Stamps-Thursday DT-Thanks

Hello and welcome to the Thursday DT for Inspired Stamps. This week Inspired Stamps started two days of DT.  There is a Tuesday DT- this week they created cards with characters and scripture and the Thursday DT- we were to make creations giving thanks or Thank You themes.  Here is what I came up with using the Fall Gratitude set and Daisy Hill dp.  All the dp was from the same paper pack (even the butterflies that I fussy cut) and then I added the scripture to the bottom of the panel.  I love the colors and the dimension.  I rounded the corners for a softer look and used the Fiskars scallop punch for two layers for more visual interest.  Please be sure to check out the other DT members for all their beautiful creations this week and be sure to visit Inspired Stamps blog every Tuesday and Thursday for more wonderful projects.  The stamps from last week's release are in the Inspired Stamps Store so please be sure to check them out.  Remember all the stamps are made in the USA.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great day! 

Inspired Stamps-Love

Single bible verse stamp and heart from Card Ministry Basics,
Inspired Stamps.

Hello Everyone!  Happy Thursday.  I hope that everyone is well, we have been battling with the ick here.  Today's card is CAS but I made a frame for my bible verse (which I stamped in gray).  I used the large heart from the Card Ministry Basics set and stamped the hearts in a circle to form a frame.  I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the frame. I then stamped 12 more hearts in the pink ink (Memento) and adhered to frame with pop dots and then added Crystal Effects to the top layer of hearts.  Gray dot pattern paper is DCWV and white strip was cut with scallop border (Fiskars).  I added some shear pink ribbon and three pink rhinestones.  The verse is "And now these three remain faith, hope, and love.  But the greatest of these is love.  I hope you like it and you will be inspired to look at your stamps a little differently and see what you can create.

Philipians 4:6-7 scripture stamp, Inspired Stamps

 Hello and happy Thursday.  I hope you all are having a great week and that you are thinking about what you are thankful for.  We were asked to make a thankful project this week.  I am thankful that God hears our prayer, but we are reminded to thank God for what He has done and what He will do before we make our requests.
  I used Fall colors (DCWV, papers) and die cut leaves (Sizzix) and added veins using my score board for added dimension.  I used Inspired Stamps Philipians 4:6-7 as my center piece.  I thought this would be a great reminder to my family to be thankful and it fits with the fall decor.
