Inspired Stamps DT Thursday

Hello and welcome to the Inspired Stamps DT Thursday post.  Today we were asked to create a "mostly green" project. Green is my favorite color, it has always been a color to make me happy, so here is what I came up with.  I used the BoBunny 6 X 6 paper pack Enchanted garden.  There was this great "mostly green" chevron tile pattern.  I cut along the tiles to create a break and added my sentiment from His Word stamp set.  I also stamped the vase of flowers from this same stamp set and colored with my newly refilled Copic markers, pulling the colors from the paper.  I matted image on scallop oval green pattern paper from same pack.  I used one of my Copic markers to color the string and looped it behind the image.  I added some glue and seal to the one end of string to loop it and allow it to stay in that shape.  This was a quick and easy card but with some details to give it more interest.
Remember the 31 days of March Bible Journaling tutorials. Go to the Inspired Stamps blog for a link to that site.  New stamps added to the Etsy store so be sure to check them out and if you live in the U.S.  there is free shipping for all orders over $25.00.  Gotta love free shipping.
Have a great day, weather is warming up but also bringing a bit of rain in parts, so stay dry.  Create something to encourage someone today.  You will also be encouraged in the process.

Inspired Stamps May Release

Hello Everyone!  Today is a new release at Inspired Stamps.  I used new scripture Jeremiah 1:12 with images from His Word set.  I used an embossing folder (Spellbinders) and inked with distress ink.  I colored each image with Copic markers and added the black stitched ribbon at top.  I used pop dots to pop up scripture on the card.  I am encouraged by the scripture and I hope you are too.  Please check out the Inspired Stamps online store for all the new scripture and image releases at noon tomorrow and check out the Inspired Stamps blog for more projects made with the new releases and more inspiration.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great Mother's Day weekend.

Inspired Stamps- DT Thursday Post

Hello everyone.  This week the Inspired Stamps DT was to make projects using scripture stamps.  Inspired Stamps is an online company that specializes in scripture stamps, but also has image stamps, such as the His Little Ones (HLO) stamps.
Today I made this gorgeous card from one of the scripture stamps in the stamp set His Word.  I cut the scripture out with a Spellbinder oval die and the matte with Spellbinders beaded oval die.  I cut and embossed a banner and a white strip of paper that I then colored with distress markers and spritzed with water for the blended effect.  I just thought the white strip helped to balance out the card.  I added the flowers cut with Tim Holtz distress flowers and leaves Sizzlet strip.  I added some glittered circle stickers to the beaded circle for some punch.  A simple yet beautiful card to help encourage someone who is one of our bible teachers or someone who has taken on the commitment of studying the word daily.  We all know that that can be tough with our busy lives, but it is what we should do and encourage one another in this endeavor and what better way than with a beautiful, handmade card.  Please be sure to check out the Inspired Stamps online store and the Inspired Stamps blog for more ideas.  Have a great day.

Inspired Stamps DT Character and scripture

Flowers and Label Maker Words, Inspired Stamps
This week at Inspired Stamps, the DT was asked to make a project using a character and scripture.  I chose to use four different sets: Flowers, 7.99, Label Maker Words, 13.99, HLO, girl studying, 4.99, and His Word, 13.99.

I used the sunflower from the Flowers set and three of the words from Label Maker Words to make a border down the side of the card.  I liked the yellows with the bright blue background.

I colored the images with Copic markers. I decided to color the girl studying's hair black.  I have never colored hair black before, but I think she looks sweet.
I stamped the sentiment on a rectangle and inked with Distress inks, wild honey.
I hope you like my design and you can see the versatility of Inspired Stamps stamp sets.  Visit Inspired Stamps by clicking here.  Please check out the other DT creations and have a great day.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of my card.

Inspired Stamps- Anything But a Card

Hello everyone.  Today the Inspired Stamps DT were asked to make "anything but a card".  I saw this scripture holder at a local store and thought I can make that, so here is my attempt.  I used several Inspired Stamp sets.  I thought this would be a great source of inspiration or perhaps to aid in scripture memory.  Just change the card out each day or each week. I used a white crayon to trace around the image  and then inked with Distress ink, (peeled paint) and wiped off the excess ink with soft cloth to achieve the shadow.
Here are the some of the supplies. Cardboard (recycled), dp, business cards, cardstock, edger die (to cut top shape), grudge board (used for card holder), ribbon, distress ink, Memento ink, Spellbinders and lots of Inspired Stamps.

Here is the finished product with a different scripture card.  I used verses and images from several Inspired Stamp sets: Guard Your Heart, His Word, Card Ministry Basics, His Cross, Trees and Leaves, His Plans For You, Be Still Silhouettes, Bind and Stitch. Below you can see the back.  I covered the cardboard with cardstock for a more finished look.

Scripture cards that can be changed out as you desire.  I think this would make a great gift for a graduate or shut in, or anyone else who you feel might need a bit of encouragement.  I hope you enjoyed my post.  Thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions please let me know.  Please check out the other DT members creations today as well.  Have a great day!

Inspired Stamps- DT choice

HisWord, Inspired Stamps, Distress inks background
and Martha Stewart ribbon.
Hello and happy Thursday!  This is a very busy time of the year for many with end of school year, graduations, graduation parties, and other such events.  It is very easy to get overwhelmed and forget what is important.  I made a very clean and simple (CAS) card reminding me what is important.
The stamps came from a set called His Word, Inspired Stamps.  I used my favorite distressed inks (peeled paint, wild honey, tumbled glass, broken china and faded blue jeans) to create the back ground.  I wanted it to look somewhat like a sunset.  I stamped right on the background, I wanted to leave everything as is, but I found myself needing to color in the candlestick.  So I did with Prisma pencils and then added a little stickles for the flame.  It seemed a little off balance so I added the turquoise (Martha Stewart) ribbon on the side.  I tinkered with the bow until I thought it was perfect.  The card base is Summer sunrise (PTI).  I rounded the corners for a bit of softness and voila!
I hope you like it, please leave me some kind words and thanks for stopping by.  Please visit the other Inspired Stamps DT members to see what they have created for you this week.
