Unity Friends with Flair

It is Friday and the sun is shining and it is not freezing.  All good things.  I was going through my Unity stamps and I have a few cases (I keep my unmounted stamps in CD cases) of unmarked Unity stamps.  These are ones that I received as part of orders and as part of drawings, so I thought I would use a few to make a CAS card.  I used the sun image (so cute) and inked with two colors of Memento ink and tuxedo black for face.  I stamped the note paper and punched the edges with EK Success punch.  I took the "You simply Shine"  sentiment from the set Shine On and the "thank you" from the Country Pumpkin set.  Wow, I had a hard time finding a thank you sentiment in all my sets, maybe need to do some shopping.  We just need a good excuse, don't we.  I will have to wait for a while, since it is not in the budget currently.  I made the envelope with the envelope punch board (this size is not on the board markings).  I cut the paper to a 4.5 inch square and punched and scored at 2 inches and then followed the score lines to repeat the punching and scoring on remaining three sides.  I used flower and leaf punches for the foliage and added some pearls and voila, quick and simple.  I need a few of these to send to some lovely ladies who helped me with an event last week.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope this card sends a little sunshine your way.  Have fun crafting and have a great weekend.

Inspired Stamps February Release

Hello and welcome to Inspired Stamps February Release.  Today if you visit all the DT blogs you will see all the beautiful stamps that will be released at noon on Friday in the Inspired Stamps Online Store.  All the stamps are made in the U.S.A.
I used a new individual 2 X 2 scripture stamp (Psalms 9:10) for my card.  The font reminded me of a vintage typewriter so I used Majestic Squares, Spellbinder dies to layer with the image.  I dyed some crinkle ribbon to match and added faux stitching on the base layer to mimic the matte layers.
I created this card in a 4.25 X 4.25 size which is not a standard size, so I used my envelope punch board to make a custom envelope.
Thanks for stopping by and please be sure to stop by the Inspired Stamps blog for more inspiration and check out the other stamps being released this month.

Inspired Stamps- DT Thursday

Hello Everyone.  It is Thursday and time for an Inspired Stamps DT post.  Today we were asked to make a trio of birthday cards.  I chose to use two Inspired Stamps sets:  Spring Sketches (sentiment on the front of card, flowers and verse on inside of card) and Perfect Sentiments (Happy Birthday greeting inside the card).
I made a trio of gift card holder birthday cards and embossed the front pocket with a Sizzix embossing folder and sanded to reveal the green core.  I cut a file folder tab in different location on each card with the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board.  I added some flowers and leaves (colored with Copic markers) and  ribbon. The card base was created by stamping the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo black ink and the flowers in Versamark.  I added a pull tab to the gift card (see top photo).

The trio of cards together can be seen below.  Thank you for stopping by and please be sure to check out the other great card sets by the other design team members.  To see these stamps or any others please visit the Inspired Stamps online store and visit the Inspired Stamps blog for more inspiration.
